A Scenario from a Distant Planet
Purely hypothetical, speculative fiction; far be it from me to condone or advocate such acts!
[Note to Readers: This essay was submitted today to American Thinker, eliciting the following response:
“That's a very clever essay but, even hypothetically, we cannot publish something that condones violent lawless activity. Sorry.”
I suppose that means that, by that same logic, Thomas Jefferson’s remark that “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants” would be among those deemed unfit for publication.]
I often find myself envisioning political events that I might like to see happen, but that I know will never actually occur because, as Richard Nixon once said, "We could do it, but it would be wrong," or because, as Barack Obama would say, "That's not who we are."
So let me present this as if it were a bit of science fiction, so much of which genre is actually just speculative fiction or political fiction, but is called science fiction because it is analogous to life as we know it but is set in the future or on a distant planet, perhaps in a different dimension or a parallel universe, where things can happen differently from the way they do here on Earth.
So, what if, on a planet much like Earth, a chief executive much like Joseph Biden were to issue preemptive pardons like those that Biden just issued to beings like Anthony Fauci (who oversaw, encouraged and funded development and release of a weaponized virus and repeatedly lied about it; then, to deal with the pandemic caused by that virus, issued edicts that curtailed freedom, ruined lives and businesses, tore families asunder and caused needless deaths); Gen. Mark Milley (who demonstrated a textbook definition of “traitor” by declaring more allegiance to an adversarial foreign power than to his own Commander-in-Chief); Liz Cheney (accused of lying and destroying evidence), and others of their treasonous ilk?
What if such preemptive pardons rendered the recipients untouchable under the law, immune to prosecution and therefore above the law?
But what if his successor, a being much like Donald Trump, upon assuming office, were to issue similar preemptive pardons to any citizen or citizens who might decide to take it upon themselves to exact extra-judicial rough justice on those pardoned by the corrupt, treasonous, Biden-like executive?
And what if that second round of pardons rendered those who might dispense such street justice (or whatever it might be called on that distant other world) similarly immune to prosecution?
What if the inhabitants of that distant planet were to wake up one morning to the sight of the likes of Fauci, Milley, Liz Cheney, the Inquisitors of the Jan. 6 Committee et al, their bodies having been spat- and urinated upon and subjected to other indignities and left hanging upside-down from a scaffolding in the town square?
Wouldn’t such an occurrence render inconsequential, moot and meaningless those preemptive pardons issued by a Biden-like creature?
Even if such a thing would or could never happen on this planet, I can't help but think about it.

Wow!! Your article truly makes one THINK! And I had never seen that photograph before! I have a funny feeling that photograph was highly suppressed by the news media in the day… What are the details on that photograph please?
Just a wee bit of hypothetical, huh? 🤔
