From Minneapolis, Another Nefarious Narrative
And another case of Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes
My last post contained the lesson that Renee Good (and her “wife,” although I did not reference those specific oh-so-well-adjusted individuals) should have learned before deliberately interfering with federal agents doing what those agents had been hired and trained (and authorized) to do.
Now comes another citizen shot and killed in Minneapolis while interfering with federal agents performing their duty. And, as in the shooting of Renee Good, news stories and “eyewitness accounts” supporting a narrative of the event that appears to contradict the “official” narrative seem to have been already written and ready for publication.
In a widely-quoted remark (a version of which is often attributed to Winston Churchill), Mark Twain said “A lie will fly halfway around the whole world while the truth is getting its boots on.”
We have seen a false narrative set in place, accepted and believed long before (and despite) its eventually being proven false; witness the “Hands up, don’t shoot!” narrative from Ferguson, MO in 2014 (along with the characterization of Michael Brown as a “gentle giant”), which many still believe, even today.
And so, we are told that Alex Pretti, shot while interfering and scuffling with Border Patrol agents, was merely an “observer” who happened by the scene with no ill intent, but was there merely to peacefully protest, just as Renee Good had dropped her kid at school and did not deliberately use her vehicle to obstruct I.C.E. And so, Pretti, like Good, was yet another “innocent” victim of “murder” at the hands of government agents.
Oh, and he had no idea, when he made the decision to interfere, obstruct and resist, that his otherwise legally-carried handgun just might possibly complicate the situation!
The propagandameisters are having a field day; this is what they’ve trained, practiced and rehearsed for. And their cohorts in the once-noble field of journalism are only too ready and eager to help disseminate and otherwise support such nefarious narratives.
I’ve been saying this for years, but (for those who may be new to my writing) it warrants saying again: arrayed against us is a cadre of dedicated propagandists who make Dr. Goebbels (who famously posited that a lie told big enough, loudly enough and repeated frequently enough becomes the truth!) look like a mere tyro!
This is why totalitarian regimes, especially Communist regimes, once they have fully consolidated their power, will purge with the same ruthlessness those who have helped them attain their power as those who have resisted them. Totalitarian regimes know that the loyalties of those highly skilled at spreading false narratives, manipulating public opinion and just plain lying are simply not to be trusted.
