To add to the irony the Torah, the root of all Judaism, explicitly and directly forbids tattoos. A special exemption was necessary to permit concentration camp survivors to even be buried in Jewish cemeteries.

Every place where you set your foot will be yours: Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the Euphrates River to the Mediterranean Sea. As a child of Holocaust survivors who as children left Germany for England still before September 39, I grew up with classmates whose parents had their concentration camps numbers tattooed on their arms. Your sense of irony is commendable. Sad though that I don't expect it from kids in Kansas who don't know the Ohio from the Mississippi never mind, the Nile from the Jordan of the Caspian from the Mediterranean
